Gone are the days when buying a used car was considered to be a downgrade. Not only is the number of new car owners going up, more people are buying used cars as well. According to a recent report by Google India and Mahindra First Choice Wheels Ltd there has been an increase of 20 times in online searches for used cars in the last six years, which means a compounded annual growth rate of 54%. Clearly, the online space is a big reason behind increase in used car sales.

Beginning in June, potential Porsche buyers can test drive the brand’s cars and crossovers at the company’s new $100 million U.S. headquarters and customer experience center in Atlanta.

Porsche is unveiling the new facility, dubbed One Porsche Drive, today. It is the company’s biggest investment outside of Germany. In addition to putting all of Porsche’s U.S. operations under one roof, the new center gives the brand a place to demonstrate the “smell, touch, feel” of Porsche vehicles, said Porsche Cars North America CEO Detlev von Platen. He expects 30,000 people to visit annually.

the fact that Google is pushing this is very cool...but this may be the start of auto industry slowing being shut out. eventually drivers wont be needed cause the cars will be able to drive them self's, and Honda is in the processes of making a robot that can do simple things us humans can do. its only a matter of time before these robots can take our job of being auto mechanics. they don't require pay, or brakes, or anything. they can work non stop till they brake. putting us people out of work. i see the auto industry in 30 years becoming nothing but in history books because of how fast technology is accelerating in our society

German automotive major Mercedes-Benz India today rolled out its fourth AMG performance centre here to expand its service offerings in the niche car segment.

The company has lined up another AMG centre launch in Pune, taking the total to five in India. Globally, there are 412 such performance centres for Mercedes to drive the unique customer feel in the sports car and performance brand.
