Vespa is the first brand to launch its online store in collaboration with Snapdeal.com in India. Piaggio Vehicles -- the wholly-owned Indian subsidiary of the Piaggio Group, has partnered with Snapdeal to come up with an online store, the company said in a statement.

Mercedes Benz rolls out its 4th AMG performance centre

German automotive major Mercedes-Benz India today rolled out its fourth AMG performance centre here to expand its service offerings in the niche car segment.

The company has lined up another AMG centre launch in Pune, taking the total to five in India. Globally, there are 412 such performance centres for Mercedes to drive the unique customer feel in the sports car and performance brand.

Consumers are finding the search for car finance more confusing than ever – with many spending more time researching their next phone than finding the best option for motor finance.

A survey from BMW Group Financial Services has found that around three quarters (73%) of those questioned admitted to taking up to two months to research finance options for their phones, compared with 45% who spent the same time looking for their mortgage.

GM hints at dealer bonus redesign

North America chief Alan Batey hints at a successor to General Motors' Essential Brand Elements program, which has funneled billions of dollars to dealers since 2010 to update their stores and raise the level of customer service. The program's scheduled expiration next year raises financial uncertainty for most of GM's dealers, who have come to depend on quarterly bonuses that are tied partly to making store improvements.

Beginning in June, potential Porsche buyers can test drive the brand’s cars and crossovers at the company’s new $100 million U.S. headquarters and customer experience center in Atlanta.

Porsche is unveiling the new facility, dubbed One Porsche Drive, today. It is the company’s biggest investment outside of Germany. In addition to putting all of Porsche’s U.S. operations under one roof, the new center gives the brand a place to demonstrate the “smell, touch, feel” of Porsche vehicles, said Porsche Cars North America CEO Detlev von Platen. He expects 30,000 people to visit annually.
