Explaining the experiment | Australian Curriculum - English | Scoop.it

This scoopit began as a private test. I intended to feature only content discovered via the scoopit  'Suggested Content' search.

I am now expanding this to include 'rescooping' from the scoopit topics of other users I follow.

Of course, your suggestions are welcome too. I want to see how much useful content comes my way without having to leave the scoopit site.

Simple lesson activity which could be adapted to suit many classroom situations. Though the suggested text is a picture book, I imagine once students are familiar with this strategy they could easily apply it to any format or genre of text.

Sophie Smith's curator insight, March 6, 6:35 PM

This is a great English and technology resource that I believe would be very popular with the boys ;).  As a beginning teacher I am always looking for new ways to inspire students to take an interest in reading and literacy.  Tools like this, which are outside the traditonal literacy square, help kids that may not be interested in reading or writing get involved in their literacy learning.  A resource for upper primary.
