Idea for app. augmented reality that places virtual name tags on people as you meet them at parties.— Dave Craft (@craftyfella) October 29, 2012
This is a very cool idea for those of us who either aren't great with names, or are meeting so many people, that we can't process all of them, a common problem for serial networkers like me.
This could be taken even further with a location based context. Imagine for example that you could not only see their names, but also the company or association they belong to. You could also geotag the location where you meet them (combined with the option of a photo), so that next time you meet them, you will recall where you met them. You could also then have the ability to add notes of relevance, which would also appear on demand in the AR mode. This could also link to a CRM or perhaps via an API to LinkedIn, allowing you to pursue that relationship if relevant.
