The emphasis turned away from how good a singer or an instrument player was to how good you were at navigating a computer. Some labels are droping contracts with loyal bands so that they can produce those artist that would invest in auto-tune.

This article is recalling to the fact that , now a days, you do not have to be talented to be succesful in the music industry.

 

Now, the purpose of Auto-tume is so producers can correct inperfect notes after recording.It was created to decrease the time and money expended on the studio so it is not a bad tool at all and it could be really useful.

 

The problem is that pop artist are overusing this tool to create a perfect voice, a perfect tune and perfect time when is really not that way. So this aritst go out thinking that they can sing when a computer does everything for them.

we can think of the audible auto-tune effect is actually re-establishing authenticity by making itself transparent.  An auto-tuned song establishes its authority by casting into doubt the ability of any art to be truly authoritative and owning up to that lack.

The auto-tune was created on 1990s but it did not have much atenttion untill Timbaland and Lil Wayne started inplementing it on their tracks. Auto-Tune is a production tool that allows rappers and singers of all genres to stay in key over bass-heavy beats or turn their voices into android sound booths.
