Tele-Audiology, A Threat Or An Opportunity?

Tele-Audiology, A Threat Or An Opportunity? | Audiology Marketing | Scoop.it
Tele-audiology, a disruptive technology that could be a threat or an opportunity

By Geoffrey Cooling

I have talked about tele-audiology before in general terms. Tele-audiology really covers the use of remote audiology through a full suite of hardware and software in the clinic location. However there is another form that most of us would be familiar with. That is the concept as it applies to a certain manufacturer’s instruments.

Basically some fine tuning can be undertaken via the telephone, this manufacturer has also moved towards some limited fine tuning performed by the Patient. They are also wholeheartedly adopting apps to foster Patient engagement.

B2B Content for Customer Retention Tells a Different Story | Audiology Marketing | Scoop.it

Customer retention calls for a different content strategy

SUMMARY: B2B marketers are paying more attention to customer retention and should adjust their campaigns to that specific purpose, Ardath Albee writes. Content marketing should encourage the embrace and use of the purchased product, and help customers find more value in it. Probe them for their expansion plans and potential problems with the product or service, and give even the smallest customers the attention they need and deserve.

Reality Check: How to Tell if Your Marketing Content Is Actually Valuable

Reality Check: How to Tell if Your Marketing Content Is Actually Valuable | Audiology Marketing | Scoop.it
Reference this checklist for a reality check on whether the content you're creating is actually valuable.

We marketing folk talk a whole heck of a lot about "creating valuable content." In fact, a quick site search of our own blog turned up over 1,400 results for the term "valuable content" alone. And that doesn't even include the multitude of other variations of the phrase we've used, like "helpful content," "educational content," "remarkable content," or "quality content."

But let's be honest with ourselves, marketers. Is our content actually helpful? Or is all this talk just lip service to the oft-cited "create remarkable content" inbound marketing credo?

Trust and Reputation Online: Ten Tips To Establish Your Credibility On the Web

Trust and Reputation Online: Ten Tips To Establish Your Credibility On the Web | Audiology Marketing | Scoop.it

Robin Good: If you are interested in building your online reputation, increasing your credibility and trust, which, in my opinion, are the most critical factors to run any kind of online business, I suggest you check and question each and every point touched in this article and see how well you are doing.

Building your online reputation is less about logos and brands in the traditional sense and more about authority, reliability, consistency (walk your talk) and relatoshionship building and understanding one key essential thing: your reputation comes from how effective you are in truly helping and supporting the audience you have chosen.

To the point. Helpful for anyone marketing anything online. 8/10

Social Doesn't Help SEO

Social Doesn't Help SEO | Audiology Marketing | Scoop.it

"There's a lot of buzz in SEO about social media and its impact on SEO. True, some sites, like LinkedIn get indexed in Google's search engine.

That’s because Google is allowed to crawl LinkedIn’s discussion boards and Q&A section and index the stuff it finds there. Great. It’s a hidden benefit if you are willing to spend a little time optimizing post titles and your profile.

Notice that none of that, though, is being “social.” When you try optimizing post titles for SEO purposes, you typically end up thinking “what would Google like?” instead of “how do I contribute to this conversation (or, alternatively, how to I start an engaging conversation)?”

Posting good SEO titles doesn’t always equate to posting good conversation starters".

Social Media Stats That Matter To Your Healthcare Marketing Decisions

Social Media Stats That Matter To Your Healthcare Marketing Decisions | Audiology Marketing | Scoop.it

.Which social media channel for your healthcare marketing activities?

By Geoffrey Cooling

If you want to include social media channels in your healthcare marketing activities. It is important to have an idea about the demographic make up of those channels. Initially lets think about the age demographics that we are targeting. Our traditional Patients are 60 plus, but does that mean that this is the sole demographic we are targeting? Obviously not, the purchase of a hearing instrument is often a family led decision.

As we all know most often the Patient is encouraged by one or more of their family members. We also know that many people within the Patients inner circle are involved in the decision process. Hence the old admonition, not just support, but the right support. With this in mind we need to consider the targeting of not just the Patient demographic. But also the demographic of their children. Possibly their grandchildren as well. We need to ensure that our healthcare marketing targets many age demographics.
