Bitwig Studios, one of the most anticipated music creation systems is set to launch on March 26, 2014.   This music production cross platform DAW is said to have been inspired by musicians wanting a more natural way to create music.  Bitwig has been said to be a rival for software like Ableton and other alternatives.  Bitwig is proud of it’s features like VST support, drag and drop between multiple open projects, over 50 included devices, various MIDI controller support, plug in crash protection, over 1000 presets and sounds and its fast workflow.  Bitwig has already been featured at NAMM and said that the global modulation  and friendly interface as features that set it apart.  Its said to really appeal to the person that likes to create music and the sound design features are a strong point but you can perform and record with it. Workflow ease of use and the ability to understand the workflow is what Bitwig feels passionate about for this DAW.

Glass can now be used to search for songs, scan through saved playlists and listen to music in high fidelity.

Google glass will now be able to play and identify music.  This feature added to glass will allow the user to search for songs, store play list, listen to music and even help you find where you can buy the music in digital downloads and or tracking down a vinyl.  This addition to glass will eventually allow the user to subscribe to music subscription services in the future but for now it only offers Google’s music services.

Showcased at the 2014 NAMM show the  Behringer X18 intergrates your iPad/Tablet into a WiFi mixer.  It has 16 MIDAS Preamps, Wifi and USB.

With 18 in the name its safe to assume that it has 18 inputs and it has 12 bus digital mixer and its Ultra-Compact.  The device can be used live or in studio and comes with virtual FX that have 4 stereo FX slots.  The Wifi feature allows the freedom of manipulating your mix from anywhere in the venue. With this feature there’s also no need for an external router.  Digital Mixing with the X18 to your mobile device is made possible through the USB interface. The virtual FX rack makes 4 stereo and 8 mono multi-effects processors.  The onboard processing of the Behringer X18 does all the heavy lifting so your PC doesn’t have to.  It also has a 100 band real time analyzer for making EQ a breeze.  Comes with Tracktion 4 Audio software and a 3 year warranty.
