When it comes to mobile technology, remote work, and innovation that untethers innovators from their desks and places new capabilities at their fingertips, women in the United States and in other developed countries are increasingly influential.  And when it comes to the status of women in underdeveloped countries, mobile just might be the solution to gender inequalities in business and society.

C’est ce qu’a révélé un rapport publié en octobre dernier par le Conseil d’intervention pour l’accès des femmes au travail (CIAFT). Selon l’étude, le harcèlement arrive en tête de liste des difficultés qu’éprouvent les femmes en construction. Cela prend la forme d’intimidation, de blagues dégradantes, de rejet des pairs et de manque de coopération.

Meghan Casserly of Forbes argued in April 2012 that women do have a tendency to be cruel to each other: "It sucks to say, but sometimes women really are just mean. And I don’t mean 'some women are mean.' I mean sometimes all women can be mean. Most often to each other."

If we admit that some female relationships are destructive -- even if, as Sessions Step put it, "Women are multi-dimensional, sometimes warm and generous, sometimes cold and conniving. We should expect no more from them than from men -- and no less"
