Walking the walk!

Holy Pete! I just looked at my blog and went Well ..I appear to have been blog absent . Okay, so honestly MOST of what I do happens via social media. I mean there are millions of ladies just like me on Facebook who want to make big changes, so that s where I am every day, and I d love to meet you there, so please do check me out. BUT, I like keeping this blog updated as well because I never know how many people are stalking me and wondering if I m the real deal. Hint: I am the real deal. So here s what I ve been doing since I last posted! 1. I have been ANXIOUSLY awaiting a girls trip to Las Vegas!! T minus one week and counting, I cannot wait!

Workout Of The Day

I love fitness (well, correction, I love what fitness feels like), and I workout according to my program calendar, AND I record them so I can show people the moves, give them a taste of what the program is all about, etc. But I don t post them here, and I am not sure why not. Maybe you d like to do a quick workout each day, and if so, I can help with that! Now remember, I m not a trainer, I m following a trainer in the DVD, so make sure you use your judgement. Form over speed, always, knees over ankles, stomach tight to protect your spine, etc.  Unless otherwise noted, it ll be 1 minute per move, rest 20 seconds in between, repeat the circuit 4 times.   Enjoy! How to pick the best sports bra

This is a question for the ages! And really, while this will work for anyone, let me just say that I am mainly talking to the BUSTY ladies out there. You women ..you need support for the girls, you cannot get by with the skimpy little pieces of lingerie that your local boutique calls a sports bra. A Coobie is NOT a sports bra, for the love of all that is holy, be kind to your Coobie, don t put that kind of pressure on it!

21 Day Fix Extreme March Challenge Group

I ve actually JUST started my second month of Insanity MAX 30, but I m super excited to start putting my next challenge group together! I run challenges every month, but that doesn t mean I m always doing the same program as the challengers. I hate blogging. :)

No seriously, I know I put a smiley face there, but I mean it! I love to read, and I think I used to like to write, but something changed (it was probably my kids). As I sit here and try to type this, my 4 year old is doing his level best to break a kitchen chair, and my 7 year old is telling me that the dog stepped on his face. #TRUTH Here s another thing, after being a coach for 3 years, I have come to realize that fitness really isn t MY PASSION. I think I ve posted that before, so it s not like a new thing. My PASSION is helping women figure out that they are bad ass! MY PASSION is helping someone go from Woe is me, I will never be able to . to I totally nailed that! My PASSION is finding people who are just like me, people that I could be friends with in real life, people who want to ditch their excuses, start a fabulous business, get in great shape, and show OTHER WOMEN how to do the same thing. The journey is the process

I read an article yesterday while I was searching for some personal development for the day, it was a great article .if you re ready to hear it, but it was also really offensive, there was a lot of swearing, and there was one part that I was kind of meh about. BUT OVERALL, it was a great article, and it really evolved my thinking a bit. I don t want to say it changed my thinking, because that s not it, but it helped some things FOCUS that were previously formed thoughts, but BLURRY around the edges, if that makes sense. I m going to link to it here, but be warned, he swears A LOT, and I don t say that lightly.

I Had Good Intentions

Let me start with this, I m a homeschooler. Now, if you have school aged kids, I don t want you to think I have it harder than you. Basically, I have 2 students and since they re both pretty young (7 and 4) our school work takes about an hour or two each day. Probably about the same as what you spend doing homework. Now, if you do have school aged kids, I m willing to bet that homework time is TORTURE with a capital TORTURE. If I had a penny for every time Jack dropped a pencil, erased through the paper, didn t capitalize a sentence, star gazed for 10 minutes, etc. I d be a penny-illionaire. And yet, I ALWAYS make him do his school work. It s important, it s absolutely necessary, and just because it s hard for him doesn t mean he just doesn t have to do it. As a matter of fact, I have said on more than one occasion that doing it is the best way for him to get better!

Insanity MAX 30 – Day 1 – #imaxedout

WAY back when Beachbody launched this program, I knew I d be doing it in January. I got super sick at the end of 2014 and it totally put me off my exercise schedule for almost 4 months, yes, 4 MONTHS! That s tough, especially when exercise has become a part of your life. If you aren t that person yet, then you won t believe me, but I promise .once you start exercising on a regular basis, you CRAVE it, and you feel it in a big way if you can t do it. I got sick in September, just a head cold (or so I thought) and I didn t back off the exercise, even though I knew I should have. The head cold turned in to walking pneumonia and pleurisy, which just absolutely sucks! Once that happened, there was nothing to be done except rest and more rest, no stressing the lungs. Thankfully, I m a clean eater, so I didn t gain a bunch of weight or inches, but still ..I am that person who slacks more if they aren t exercising. (don t judge me!).
