Another reason to never debate creationists | Pharyngula | Modern Atheism | Scoop.it

Because they are scumsucking profiteering liars.

Case in point: a few people had a conversation with Eric Hovind and Sye Ten Bruggencate, a couple of dishonest frauds. This was not a commercial transaction.

"We did not agree for God Quest, inc. to edit the conversation we had with Sye and Eric. We did not agree for God Quest, inc. to use our comments for any commercial purpose of any kind. We were not asked if God Quest, inc. could use our comments in this way. We specifically said the whole point of our having the conversation was that it would not be used in this way."

But evolution does happen in the lab, in real time, and it's bad news for us because such rapid evolution allows organisms that can kill us by evading drugs, vaccines, and our own immune systems.

This just in: creationists deny the existence of dinosaurs! | Modern Atheism | Scoop.it

This just in: creationists deny the existence of dinosaurs! We’re used to the familiar creationist trope of dinosaurs coexisting with humans, and we all remember the photo of P.Z. riding on a _Triceratops_ at the Creation Museum in Kentucky. Written in reply to 15 Questions for Evolutionists.

This list of questions is depressing, not because they are difficult - any intermediate level biology student should be able to answer them with no more than a moments thought - but because they reveal the depths of ignorance, dishonesty and credulous stupidity on which Creationism relies. The questioner, apparently in all seriousness, believes these are difficult, killer knock-down questions which will challenge even the best of evolutionary biologists. Either that, or he imagines his target audience is that dishonest, ignorant and credulously stupid.
