Cloze Cool "Editor of Chaos" Tool Now On Scoop.it

Cloze Cool "Editor of Chaos" Tool Now On Scoop.it | AtDotCom Social media | Scoop.it

I "met" Cloze founder Alex Cote in a hangout with David Amerland. Alex was great. His startup Cloze is a little further down the funnel than CrowdFunde. He offered to help (so Menschy, smart guy).

Cloze the tool is an amazing idea - use MATH to make sense of the noise of our lives. Use algorithms as "intelligent assistants" to help swim out of the deep end we all reside in at the moment thanks to more emails, social media marketing and content than any sane person can manager (lol).

Great to see Alex on Scoop.it!!!! To my many friends and curators on Scoop.it Alex and Cloze are cool and one of us :).

Friends like

Please welcome Alex and Cloze a menschy smart man from beantown whose team is developing a cool "editor of chaos" tool. Marty

What Social Media Is Most Important To You?

What Social Media Is Most Important To You? | AtDotCom Social media | Scoop.it

Most Important Social Media
Friend asked a great question but in the wrong way. Social Media isn't important to me in and of itself, but each social media channel can help communicate marketing messages and thus become valuable and important.

Key is "matching the hatch" to borrow a fly fishing term.

Matching the hatch puts the right kind of content, what Gary Vaynerchuk calls "native content', on each social net when THAT information is important to communicating a marketing message. Here is how I answered:

Depends on what I'm trying to accomplish.

If I want comments and discussion GPlus.
If I want feedback from friends Facebook.
If I want to generally test Scoop.it.
If I want a "set it and forget it" content solution Paper.li.
If I have something happening now or want to newsjack Twitter.
To raise money on creative or gaming projects Kickstarter.
If I want to share videos YouTube.

If I want to serialize stories Storify.
If I want to test an infographic Pinterest.
If I want to do something with audio then SmartCloud.
If I want to create sustainable and potentially "evergreen" content then I use WP blogs. Content becomes "evergreen" based on how it performs (views, shares, conversions).
If I want to sell something ecom then Shopify.

Match the hatch to get the most from your content, your growing social media tribe, your time and content marketing and curation efforts.

Agree, lots of great information. Recommended.

I want to add one thing, if you're looking to build a website and

  • get all the tools and information to create traffic
  • write excellent content
  • find the best ways to monetize
  • blog directly from the site
  • integrate with the social media and much more, take a look at SBI/Sitesell. Tens of thousands happy members have built sites that end up in the 2-3% top traffic sites in the world. Over 300,000 Facebook supporters. Classes taught in over 30 universities around the world. Check out the CTPM process that makes it all happen: http://ctpm.sitesell.com/welcome23.html

Finally, Easy Stuff for WordPress: 6 Reasons to Install AND USE the WordPress Jetpack Plugin

Finally, Easy Stuff for WordPress: 6 Reasons to Install AND USE the WordPress Jetpack Plugin | AtDotCom Social media | Scoop.it

"This review of Jetpack got me over my doldrums and disaffected non-blogging status with my WordPress website.  It's a very handy and FREE set of tools!"

I've implemented the social media integration already via my self-hosted Wordpress site: REVELN.com.   This social media share plug-in element IN PARTICULAR is EASY.  Finally, Wordpress!

Glossy, media rich platforms that don't so much need the heavy lifting of html like Posterous and Tumblr still dazzle, but at least WP is catching up with this fantastic plugin pack with it's very own navigation menu.

Why, I might even mini-blog this and pin it on one of my 45 Pinterest boards.  Heh, and you might think I'm kidding.

Below is the #1 reason from the Jetpack review on why Wordpress users will want to take a look at this cool plugin pack.

Excerpted:

1. Easy to Install, Setup, and Learn

Jetpack could not be easier to install and set up, considering how many different benefits it provides.

To install it, just go to Plugins –> Add New and then type “jetpack” into the search box. It’ll be the first result.

Hit “Install Now” and you’re ready to go (unless you need to create a WordPress.com account, which is necessary so you can link it with your blog and Jetpack).

Once you’ve got the plugin activated, it will create its own dashboard nav bar menu section right at the top.

If you want to see the social media I now am using, thanks to JetPack, which made it EASY, go to THIS blog post, "Open Space on Speed: Social Business with the Coaches, Results! Video"  and scroll down to the bottom.

Note the social media icons and ease with which you can comment and share!  (And DO feel free to share with comments! :-)

===

Enjoy.  There's something there for just about everyone, it seems.

Ecommies Holiday 2013 Report Card

Ecommies Holiday 2013 Report Card | AtDotCom Social media | Scoop.it

Ecommies - Identifying ecommerce trends, rate and review ecom tools and hold annual awards.

Holiday 2013 Awards
First Ecommies Holiday ratings are in. William-Sonoma & REI.com top the list in November and December.  L. L. Bean gets "most improved" award from November to December and several trends emerge:

* Free Shipping out and back is trending especially in December.
* Free shipping all orders is trending.

* Hiding free shipping behind either codes or triggers is declining.

* Deal of the Day is trending with majors like REI.com adding DOD.

* Standard credit card based loyalty programs prevalent.

* Still many catalog and retail merchandising tactics such as "door busters".

Ratings report card on Google docs: http://bit.ly/1bPhwz3

Holiday ecommerce merchandising wasn't very inspired this year. December ratings went DOWN from November. Based on this year's performance ecommerce is clearly in a rut.
