The most important part of a sports team is the financial aspect. Sports managers work with players, fans, and coaches to make sure the organization is well planned out so it can move forward and succeed. They are the general managers of a business but in the sports world.

As a sports manager you will make events, and know how to market to get people to the events. You will also learn how to be an effective coach and administrator to a team. You will also gain the knowledge necessary to understand the basis of economics, accounting, marketing, psychology, law, and communication skills.

There are several career paths you can take with a Sports management degree. The most chose career path is a sports agent. The other is management. This is a broad degree, so its not hard to find a job in any other form of business to go along with it.

You will understand also how to schedule event and meet with potential players. Also, you will learn how to host events and benefits, and give your team a good name in the area. The more educated you are from college the better the job will be.

You will gain the knowledge of the NCAA requirements as well. You can take a pro, college, or even a recreation sports job.

Salaries begin at $25,000- $50,000, but in the professional work could easily see 6 figures. Sports lawyers can make even more.

There is lots of competition for jobs, so its a fierce degree. It will take 4 years of study at a college. One of the most rewarding and fun jobs out there, but you will likely start out at the bottom and have to work your way up to the top.
