Hotel ibis Styles Sapporo in Hokkaido Japan offers 4 star hotel rooms at 2 star prices because there are none of the facilities that most hotel guests never use!
Michael Taylor's insight:

This hotel was a real find! The room was absolutely gorgeous, and the rates were very reasonable. Two reasons why: 1.) the cheap yen; and 2.) the hotel has no facilities such as swimming pool, spa, or fitness center. There is, however, an excellent breakfast buffet (only open for breakfast) with amazingly flaky croissants!
