Tremor Video - Monetize Every Video Impression on Any Screen

For Publishers:

Tremor Video delivers a video income engine for publishers and developers to monetize every ad impression on any screen. Publishers and developers connect with numerous ad sources and partners from a single control center to capture quality brands and the top dollars they command.

For Advertisers:

Tremor Video is hoping to avoid boring old display ads.

With teh release of their new platform it could be easier for agencies to create and serve up more interactive mobile video ads and moreover they can avoid the problem of device fragmentation.

Facebook rolls out the ability to manage pages from mobile apps

For anybody who manages a Facebook page, the big challenge has always been doing so from a mobile device... amazing [note mg]

Managing Facebook pages from mobile devices has been a tricky challenge for page admins, but thankfully Facebook has just started testing an app that will make their lives easier. It’s called Facebook Pages Manager and it is available in the app store now for some countries and is rolling out to everyone in the next few days.

This is an interesting move as it seems to be part of a wider strategy by Facebook to launch individual apps for specific features on the site instead of trying to pack all their features and services into one main app. This new app allows you to log in as your actual page rather than trying to access it through your own personal app, which had caused major confusion for users in the past. This was especially true for those in the unfortunate position to be managing several Facebook pages.

Guest post: The loser’s guide to being ‘Liked’

"Okay, we know, everyone can see the ‘like’ button prominently placed at the forefront of your website.

And at the end of every blog post.

Since when did it become okay for us to ask people to like us?

When I was in elementary school, only the biggest loser in the school that would ask people to like her, I know, I was that kid. And by the time I got to middle school I realized that there are better, and more genuine ways of inspiring people to like me.

Here is what I learned, please feel free to apply it to your social media marketing campaign…"

Google addressing discovery problems on YouTube [The Reel Web #36]

Google admits one of its biggest problems is helping people discover videos on YouTube. It's addressing this problem and looks to Pinterest for inspiration since it has a great system for bringing the best content to the surface through human curation. Some thing Google may even buy Pinterest because of it. Either way, being discovered on YouTube is very difficult amid all the other videos that are being uploaded and YouTube wants to help the best content be discovered as it invests more and more money into attracting creators to its platform.

Curate Your Own Video Channels and Mixtapes With DragOnTape

Robin Good: DragOnTape is a great video curation tool designed for music fans who want to put together mixtapes to watch back on their mobiles, or that can be played at parties and events in a full-screen, back-to-back fashion.

DragOnTape which works both on the desktop and on your iPhone, allows you to easily search for any YouTube video / video mentioned on Twitter / Soundcloud clip and then to add it to your video-mixtape-collection.

You can drag and drop video clips on a timeline, move their order and position (albeit that's not always too easy), trim clips and make clips transition smoothly from one to the next with no breaks.

Obviously, just like I did in this test curated channel, you can bring any type of video content on any topic you like. These are 27 curated clips on content curation itself: http://www.dragontape.com/#!/4991003 ;

The playback interface is simply wonderful. Once you understand a few nuances it's impossible not to fall in love with it.

As I have said, the full compilation can be played back-to-back, while you have the option at all times to see the full playlist index and to jump to any clip you prefer.

Once completed your video mixtape can be easily published to the DragOnTape portal, as well as embedded into any web site or blog or shared with a direct link.

P.S.: While this is a great video curation platform that can be used for any topic, the spontaneous community of curators on DragOnTape has developed a spectacular trove of curated music mixtapes with some truly golden gems in there.

DragOnTape is free to use.

Excellent. 9/10
