Welcome to Find A Partner! The need to better connect Asian and European organisations was identified through ASEF’s Creative Encounters programme, which has been running since 2010 and received hundreds of proposals since its inception. While many challenges are facing cultural organisations, the ability to network is a fundamental condition to nurture and enable creative collaborations. To this end, ASEF’s portal culture360.org, seeks to play a role in the development of online cultural communities and networks between Asia and Europe. Find a Partner is a space where cultural organisations can find new opportunities to collaborate and network with each other across Asia and Europe. While sharing information about their mission and activities, member organisations can seek and offer specific partnership opportunities that lead to concrete collaborative projects and initiatives. You can now add an organisation to the Find A Partner database.

Founded in 2015 by artists Ankica Mitrovska and Kenneth Moore, Brashnar Creative Project is a non-profit artist-run initiative in Skopje, Macedonia. The Brashnar Creative Project is a three-year vision come to life founded on our interests in self-sustaining lifestyles while engaging in contemporary artistic practices. Our first project is the Brashnar Artist-in-Residence (BAiR) program that will run from May 1st – September 30th. Applicants in the following fields are eligible to apply: drawing, painting, mixed media, digital photography, sculpture/installation, land art, performance/video art, interdisciplinary arts, writers, socially engaged practice and cultural research. The Idea Mitrovska and Moore first met in Fall of 2011 during graduate school where they found common interests in travel, engaging in cultural exchange, and learning about self-sustaining lifestyles. During the early stages of their lives, both families invested time in raising gardens to provide food for their families during the summer, fall and winter and used various traditional techniques for food preservation such as canning, pickling, making jams and compote. It is this common ground in their lives, art, travel, and living a self-sustaining lifestyle, that have forged a partnership to help establish Brashnar Creative Project.
