Trésor national (Japon) - Wikipédia

Les trésors nationaux (国宝, kokuhō?) du Japon désignent les plus précieuses propriétés culturelles de la nation établis par le ministère de l'Éducation, de la Culture, des Sports, des Sciences et de la Technologie.

Exemple d'œuvres ayant reçu cette distinction :

Beaucoup de trésors nationaux sont dans des musées comme les musées nationaux de Tōkyō, Kyōto, et Nara. Les musées publics, gérés par les préfectures et les municipalités, ainsi que les musées privés possèdent également des trésors nationaux. Beaucoup de temples bouddhistes et sanctuaires shintô, de châteaux et de constructions similaires ouvrent leurs portes au public. La cour impériale du Japon possède plusieurs trésors nationaux. Kyōto en revendique environ un cinquième.
