One Irish artist, Rowan Gillespie, created sculptures of the famine victims at a famine memorial at the Customs House Quay in Dublin, Ireland. He also created the sculptures which are part of the Ireland Park Foundation in Toronto, where many of the victims of the Irish famine fled in what became known as the "Coffin Ships," and often died lined up outside of Canada, forbidden to enter, locked into ship holds without adequate food or water.

Video from 1995 college project (made when I was 24). Actors are students who generously volunteered their time and acting. The singer was a co-worker who agreed to sing for free. And I was graciously allowed to video tape in a real diner (Peninsula Fountain Creamery, which is now Palo Alto Creamery Fountain and Grill) before their opening hours. The dog was a customer's and they let me put it in the video. Delete the scoop?

"Holding Back the Years" is the 7th track on Simply Red's debut studio album Picture Book. The song was a huge success for the group and quickly rose to the top of charts across the world. The single is one of two Simply Red songs (the other being their cover of "If You Don't Know Me by Now") to reach number one on the Billboard Hot 100, for the week ending July 12, 1986.
