there are all sorts of trickery i have discovered people are doing on pinterest - one of the the popular ones is to pin my pictures to their boards - but then they change the link to their  website/affilate links. It's very annoying ~ :/

Looking at the words ‘affiliate’ and ‘referral’, one would assume that these two forms of marketing are practically similar, but there are striking differences.

In a referral program, your brand ambassadors are typically your customers. They are already fans of your product, they are educated about the features, and they can speak with first hand experiences. According to The Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), “People who blog, tweet or use Facebook to post opinions about consumer products could be fined $11,000 for repeat violations of new federal disclosure rules.”
