A bunch of street art festivals are going off in the world right now, Johannesburg, Italy, and Norway, and we just got a series of shots from the opening of FAME Festival in Grottaglie, Italy. Vhils, Ericailcane, Interesni Kazki, Lucy McLauchlan, and others all had work in the opening show to coincide with the street works across the town.
Born in Osaka, Japan, Hiro Kurata has continued to craft an intricate story that ties together both Eastern and Western culture. Focusing on surrealistic moments, he illustrates his daily life through sports motif, chairs, and the stability of gentleness. However, the underlying theme of his work is both chaotic and restless. Kurata sums things up best: “Calm days make me sleep and wild days are too chaotic.
"Louis Lander Deacon is an 19 year old photographer based in Hertfordshire. Louis is consistently pushing the boundaries through his work of what photography can offer. At 19 years old, he has already established a solid portfolio of both personal and client work and continues to challenge his passion for photography by taking each project a step further in creativity and originality. After a sleepless 15 hour flight, we anxiously arrived in Johannesburg, South Africa for the I ART JOBURG project presented by adidas Originals and curated by /ANDPEOPLE. Russian graffiti artist Nikita Nomerz continues to create astonishing street art. Throughout the years, Nomerz has traveled around his native homeland finding abandoned structures in cities long since forgotten. Born in Ormoc City, Philippines, Jeremy Enecio moved to the United States at the age of four. In 2008, he received his BFA in illustration at the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, Maryland. He currently resides in New York City as a freelance illustrator. Eerie and atmospheric, Enecio's digital works are characterized by his painterly touch and an aptitude for storytelling.
About I ART JOBURG: adidas Originals presents ‘I ART JOBURG,’ a month long project curated by /ANDPEOPLE that introduces five world renowned street and fine artists to the heart of Maboneng Precinct in Johannesburg’s central art district. The work has begun in Stavanger, Norway for Nuart 2012, with the likes of How Nosm, Ron English, Aakash Nihalani, Jordan Seiler, Eine, and Sickboy getting to work on both their outdoor projects and indoor installations. Lisa Nilsson creates illustrations using tissue paper in extremely intricate and awe-inspiring ways. She says of her process, "These pieces are made of Japanese mulberry paper and the gilded edges of old books. They are constructed by a technique of rolling and shaping narrow strips of paper called quilling or paper filigree."

Japanese-Brazilian arist, Waleska Nomura, who now takes up residence in the UK, just released a print of her signature painting series, Heart In Love. The graffiti artist turned fine artist created a bit of an ambitious project for herself: 18 layer silkscreen print—8 colous each printed twice with opaque then transparent colour plus the background plus a varnish with each layer of artwork has been handpainted by the artist.

To me, long hair not only looks beautiful, but sometimes it can be very repulsive in particular settings such as hair in the hamburger, egg, wineglass, cigarette, toothpaste and sink.
