Robin Good: Google Image Slideshow is a free web-based app which allows you to easily generate online slideshows from Google Images search results.

 

An advanced search feature allows you to specify: 

a) whether images need to come from a specific web site

b) what size they need to be

c) whether they are auto-protected with "safesearch"

d) what dominant color you want
e) what kind of image type (clipart, face, illustration, lineart)
f) what kind of license the images need to be under

There are some great free tools around for supporting learning and teaching but it's wise to make sure any you download are from reputable sites. This list has a range of sites including some international ones you might not have come across.
