This website contains a list of 30 apps that will provide students with the opportunity to curate their own art galleries, learn about artists, art work and art styles, create their own digital art work, experiment with every imaginable colour and much more using the classroom Ipads.

Andy Warhol "Pop Art Icon" - YouTube

This video could be used to introduce students to Andy Warhol and pop art. It would serve as an appropriate introduction to an art lesson where students would be tasked with creating their own piece of Andy Warhol inspired pop art.

 

Students should be given the chance to comment on anything they see in the video. They could also be prompted to comment with questions such as "what is pop art?", "what are some features of pop art" or "how do you feel when viewing pop art".

This page contains plans for three art lessons based on the work of Henri Matisse. In the first lesson, by Associate Professor of Art Education at Northern Arizona University Pam Stevens, Students will learn about Mattise and create a reproduction of "Goldfish" using watercolours, crayons, tissue paper and scrap paper. The other two lessons require students to create a figure and a still life collage using the style of Henri Mattise.
