Sergei Tschoban & Sergey Kuznetso: "architect Eye"

Sergei Tschoban & Sergey Kuznetso: "architect Eye" | Art Installations, Sculpture | Scoop.it

The "architect Eye": a high-tech sculpture to reflect on the legacy of heritage. This installation designed by the Russian Sergei Tschoban & Sergey Kuznetso, is exposed to the "Università Statale" Milan within the framework of the event "Internide". The theme of this year's Expo 2012 is: inheritance.

This stainless steel sphere, completely smooth and reflective has a system of LEDs to create an image of an eyeball. The color of the iris and pupil changes increases and decreases in size, looks to the sky as well as to visitors and the ground. A concept that combines the function of the eye with the value of intellectual thinking, future-oriented.

Inside the eye there are pictures of monuments of Russian avant-garde, which are now abandoned: a strong message the need to preserve our history and heritage. As for the reflecting effect of the steel sphere reproduced and distorts the image of the courtyard of the 18th century, to symbolize the extraordinary architectural forms of the past.
