Minna Kilpeläinen's curator insight, December 21, 2012 4:41 PM

I get to see Paul Cocksedge´s work only from the website for now, but it seems to me that he has a very light touch and sparkling ideas in his works of art. A gust of wind is one of them. The Installation Swarowski seems to have that same delicate mood.

My favourite installation is the Auditorium. Cocksedge has created a beatiful, fragile web around a small seminar space which lightens the ideas up in a dreamy way.

I would also like to see the view inside those cones in the installation Sestosenso.

Sugar Carpet by Aude Moreau

Sugar Carpet by Aude Moreau | Art Installations, Sculpture | Scoop.it

A carpet made from sugar (over two tons) by artist Aude Moreau, 2013,

Smack Mellon Space, Brooklyn

According to the artist, the installation is a way of turning people’s attention to a process of production that is undervalued, using the industrial character of the Smack Mellon space to bring out the industrial manufacturing of the sugar.

Around 2000 withered dandelion flowers alive and easily commute from the ceiling. A symbol of life and birth. A symbol of vanity. A moment to pause. Hold your breath and turn to the transient of a breath. Marvel at the miracle chamber.
