UFO & Alien Disclosure by Former Canadian Minister of Defense...(?!) | Art for art's sake... | Scoop.it
Daveaitch's insight:

Now, this is the first, and probably the only time I'd post anything like this on here. After all this is primarily an arts page, so my apologies in advance.

This story has broke over the last few days and it's one that has me just scratching my head. I came across it re a retweet on Twitter and, well, watch it and make your own decision.

I guess the reason I can't let it go is that this is a testimony, on oath, in Washington, by Canada's former defense minister Paul Hellyar.

Now, I here you ask, "former? Why because he was carted off to the funny farm for losing his marbles?" Is this the last public hurrah of someone who wants to make a name for himself? Who knows.

All you need to do is watch his testimony, recorded last month, and make up your own mind....

Infographic: The Worst Jobs Throughout History... | Art for art's sake... | Scoop.it
Daveaitch's insight:

"It’s all too easy to take a boring desk job for granted. I mean, fluorescent lights, no fresh air, staring at a 15-inch display all day--we weren’t meant to live like this! We were meant to, you know, hunt down mastodons, starving for weeks at a time while we tracked them down, risking our lives to get in close and spear them, then finally bathing in sweet guts, feces, and blood that meant we’d have dinner that was sure to have more than a few hairs in it"

See, yours isn't all that bad after all!

Daveaitch's insight:

AIDES, a French organisation fighting against AIDS, has released “IQ”, a commercial making the connection between condom use and intelligence quotient. The humorous commercial begins with the assertion that men’s IQ decreases as they remove items of clothing. A naked man, without a condom, is down to zero. But a clever woman, thinking for two, can bring the IQ back up again.
