After storyboarding and previsualising the whole film, we created all of the visual effects for the town and on the water. The underwater and the great fish visual effects were created by JELLYFISH PICTURES and they did a fantastic job.
During the Design Development phase of the Twofour54 Media Zone 1 project UNStudio, along with Buro Happold Physics, MEP and Facades Engineering, developed a complete strategy for the design of the double-skin south facade of the office towers. Clarity of concept and some clever detailing and engineering lead to this groundbreaking design.Story of the Double-skin facade by UNStudio
[ #Evermotion #3d #3dModel ]Evermotion has Announced that their new Archmodels collection vol 139 is now for Pre-order. Archmodels vol. 139 includes 44 sets of professional, highly detailed 3d models for architectural visualizations.
Recalling that the footprint is the mark left by a body pressed on a flexible material, the trace of a model over another. We note that there is a hierarchical relationship between the models in the game: a model that marks A and a B model that is scored. In our treatment A is the conceptual model and B is the structural model (BI) or the split (BII).
The connection between architecture and other forms of art has long been a topic of discussion, particularly among architects seeking to prove that their trade is more than just a technical exercise. And though architecture and art forms like painting and sculpture seem more distant than ever, that was not always the case; for most of recorded history, architecture was a prime site for the display of sculpture and painting, and even after the modernist revolution, architecture was explored as a device for framing works of art, as seen in the collages of Mies van der Rohe. Generally speaking, the following definitions were accepted: sculpture is object-form that is uninhabitable, while architecture is object-form that is inhabitable
What can you do with Dynamo? Dynamo features a very similar node-based interface as Grasshopper. However, Dynamo is built on top of a very different platform and API... and that fact is the key to its potential novelty and relevance. Here are some thoughts on where I see Dynamo offering unique opportunities for the design team:Customize Revit: Up front, Dynamo lets users build automation routines for Revit without the need to learn the Revit API (a challenge, to be sure!). This opens up numerous opportunities for users of Revit to customize their workflow with a significantly reduced learning curve.Control Model Information: As Building Information Modeler, the real power of Revit is not in pure geometry creation, but in how you can track and control model information. Dynamo lets users design systematic relationships for manipulating model elements and parameters that would be otherwise impossible with conventional Revit tools.Design with BIM: BIM is often put in the box of being only for 'production'... not for designing. Dynamo has the potential to turn this preconception on its head and allow designers to explore iterative frameworks in the context of a BIM tool.
Greenland National Gallery for Art will play a signifi cant role for the citizens of Greenland and the inhabitants of Nuuk as a cultural, social, political, urban and architectural focal point
Greenland National Gallery for Art will combine the art history of Greenland and contemporary art in one dynamic institution that communicates the continuous project of documenting and developing the Greenlandic national identity through art and culture. With its urban location and direct connection to landscape and nature there will be a rich opportunity to incorporate the Greenlandic nature as well as the surrounding urbanity. The gallery will be one common exhibition space that can be divided into many smaller galleries and accommodate changing exhibitions, but will clearly and unambiguously collect all Greenlandic and cirkumpolare artistic expression under one roof
