6 Ways to Like Your Job More

Not thrilled about your job? Here some ways to re-invent it.

Most people don’t love their jobs.  In fact, many studies show that only about 1 in 5 people really enjoy their jobs, about 1 in 5 actively dislike their jobs, and the rest are fairly neutral on the topic.

Since most of us spend more time working than doing anything else except sleeping, this seems unfortunate. Unless you’re the kind of person who derives more satisfaction from complaining about something than you would from enjoying that thing (I know there are some people like that),  it seems as though it would be better to like work more.

What does always being the "Good Employee" cost you?

Dorothy Retha Cook's curator insight, December 6, 2015 5:23 AM

Good to know! Pleasing every body all the time can kill you! And they live on considering yourself at times is not selfish but life saving!  Your/our own!  Has anyone ever said if you die I want replace you because there just is no one who can do the job just like you! Then you find yourself bedding A day off and find they have your replacement on speed dial. It's excellent to do your best but then again we all know our best will not please everybody as there are those who are not pleased with themselves and you will kill you trying to please them when it's impossible to do. They do not know what pleases them.
