Huge fans of Tolkien's Hobbit and Lord of the Rings. Love this application to your work.

Reminds me of the scene in Good Will Hunting where Robin Williams is chastising Matt Damon for only sourcing his knowleged through books and not personal expeience.

Even movies like THE HOBBIT have geographic elements. No we cannot see it in class, but you can watch it at home or in the theater. Delete the scoop?

A study in the UK has found that there may be a connection between what a person like's on Facebook and that person's personality. The group performing the study used math and computers to track what people "liked" on Facebook. The computer made guesses about things such as a person's political affiliation or sexuality. The researchers then gave those same people a personality test. They compared the results of the two and found that the computer sometimes made some very accurate guesses.
BONUS: Based on what you read in the article, are you convinced that someone could determine your personality based on looking at what you "like" on Facebook? Write a one paragraph reaction to this question and include evidence from the article. Delete the scoop?

(From the article): When you meet someone, there are things you should always take into account, such as the context of the meeting (personal or business) and what they are doing at the moment of initiation. You should tweak your approaches based on these two things. When in a more casual and personal setting, you probably don’t want to be as formal as you would with a new potential employer. Also, you never want to make someone stop everything they’re doing just to speak to you if you’ve never met them before. It’s rude, and no one likes to be interrupted. Delete the scoop?
