Montefalcone Appennino  offers a breathtaking landscape that stretches from the Sibillini Mountains  to the Maiella, from Gransasso to  Conero Mount up to the Adriatic sea.

In the historical center of Montefalcone located in the historic building Felici, mansion dating from XVII century, there is the Museum of fossils and minerals, part of the broader museum complex. The museum has built a collection of nearly 1200 minerals and fossils from all over the world, and a section dedicated to fossils found in the area of Montefalcone, which  was in the age of the Lower Pliocene was covered by the sea.
