Writing stories and sharing them with others is a great way for students to put their literacy skills in to practice. Kids love story time and so many things have been shared by the long history of story telling.  I have been working on building my family tree using Ancestry.com.  Most of what I have been able to find came from details that I heard from my grands during story telling at reunions, family gatherings, and having big ears when adults were talking low!  Try these and let me know if your kids are engaged.
