Army vs Coast Guard in Branches of the US Military

Army vs Coast Guard in Branches of the US Military | Applying for the Military | Scoop.it

Compare Branches of the US Military: Army vs Coast Guard. In this side by side comparison, find features which are most important for you to make the best decision.

My Thoughts:

Comparing branches of the U.S. Military is a great way to decide who you want to work for, where you want to work, and what you want to do. In this link, I was comparing the U.S. Army and the U.S. Coast Guard. The Coast Guard mostly works near the water, and with a smaller amount of personnel, it creates a more tight community. The Army is the largest branch of the military, with five hundred thousand active personnel, the Army is located all over the U.S. It is more likely to be relocated more often in the Army, than in the Coast Guard, but in the Army you have more choices for jobs. Though my interests have been in the army, the Coast Guard also seems enticing.

Whichever way you choose to serve - either full time on active duty or part time in the Army Reserve - you soon will become an American Soldier.

My thoughts:

I believe the Army has created a very simple way for anyone to get inolved with the protection of thier country. With simple steps to follow, such as applying online, which is an easy, new way to join the Army, and talking to a recruiter, it has never been easier to apply for enlistment in the Army. The ASVAB, a test required by the Army, is now available in schools. I took this test and I am now awaiting my scores.

ASVAB...

My Thoughts:

I believe this test is a great assessment of ones skills. This test evaluated math, english, science, mathematical, and other skills that will be challenged in the Military. I participated in this test and am currently awaiting my scores. I thought for the most part that the assessment was not entirely difficult, but there were a few words that proved difficult to comprehend.
