Chris Metcalfe's insight:

We all have things that we are more curious about but how do we capture that in our learning environments? Why not ask our students? As content becomes less poweful and the core competencies take centre stage, it matters less about what content we grapple with, but how we go about learning collaboratively.

Curiosity drives to passionately want to learn and understand our world. Curiosity is the water the gives life to the seed of knowledge that lays within every single mind. Our job as educators is not to plant more seeds but rather to water the seeds that already reside in every mind of every learner.

Chris Metcalfe's insight:

A long clip but an interesting evolution in thinking regarding effective education. There is still a tendency to "lecture" our students and as Eric Mazur discovered, it is not the only way or the most effective way. If he can do it differently for classes of over 100, the class size argument also deminishes.
