Marketing Your APIs to Developers – The New Digital Economy Prerogative | API Management Blog - SOA Software | API | Scoop.it
The title of this post is a misnomer. Developers detest marketers and do not like the fluffy stuff that most marketers throw at them. Developers do not even hang around the traditional channels that most marketers tend to use. So as an enterprise that is rolling out an API, how do you attract developers to... Continue reading →

Musicovery publie son API

Musicovery publie son API | API | Scoop.it
Renaud's insight:

Accenture API Industrialization - API Maturity Model

Via Manfred Bortenschlager
Renaud's insight:

API Maturity Model Based on our experience with implementing API programs,
Accenture Technology Labs developed an API Maturity Model
(Lowest 0 to Most Mature 4) that helps identify the stages of
the API journey: from just having loosely organized APIs to an
industrialized program that thrives in the digital ecosystem.
Leverage this Maturity Model to explore the capabilities an
organization needs to unlock each stage to enable greater
efficiency, agility, and scale.

Manfred Bortenschlager's curator insight, June 15, 4:17 AM

The Accenture Maturity Model differentiates five phases:

1. ad hoc

2. organize

3. tactical

4. mission critical

5. industrial

And 5 core components:

strategy and governance, architecture, development process, developer communities, optimization

APIdays Master Class
7 Principles to Innovation Bliss

// APIdays Master Classes
Master Classes are the best way to retrieve the gist of the APIdays conferences held in Paris, San Francisco, Berlin or Barcelona. Master Classes are a dense one-hour talk that provide participants with the keys to understand the economy's digital-driven transformations. Speakers include entrepreneurs and founders of Internet giants, industry leaders C-levels and the most influential VC in Silicon Valley.

// Speaker : Deep Nishar, SVP Product & User Experience, LinkedIn

Deep is Senior Vice President, Product & User Experience at Linkedin. He is currently heading overall product strategy and user experience where efforts have yielded the world’s largest and most powerful professional network with 300+ million members worldwide. He's responsible for P&L of all online revenue streams ($637 million in 2013).
He also advises several companies and mentors founders through start up, growth and acquisition.

// Keynote : 7 Principles to Innovation Bliss
The pace of innovation is faster than ever, and the costs of not innovating, higher than ever. What in the past was considered the pinnacle of innovation is probably very different from what would get that same label today. There are many examples of “old” products that once revolutionized a certain industry and quickly became basic commodities.
In other words, we need to be in constant motion if we want to stay innovative.
At LinkedIn, our products are the most tangible representation of what we consider innovation in its truest form. Why? First of all, because we don’t see them as products, but as INSANELY SIMPLE AND BRILLIANT USER EXPERIENCES THAT CHANGE PEOPLES’ LIVES. This is in itself an unconventional way of looking at products.
So, how do we succeed at delivering brilliant experiences to the user? 7 basic principles.

An Introduction to APIs

An Introduction to APIs | API | Scoop.it
In this course, we walk you through what it takes for companies to link their systems together. We start off easy, defining some of the tech lingo you may have heard before, but didn’t fully understand. From there, each lesson introduces something new, slowly building up to the point where you are confident about what an API is and, for the brave, could actually take a stab at using one.
