Recently, the FDA announced a plan to regualte caffine. According the the FDA, the administration indicates that the stimulant has a negative infludence on adolescents. The FDA says that it will attempt to, at the very least, limit the caffine content in certain products. The FDA recognizes that such restrictions / limitations would be difficult to enforce. Perhaps they feel that it is necissary to prevent the association of caffine with poor health.

I understand limiting the amount of caffeine in drinks. Too much caffeine, especially in adolescents, can be harmful to the body. However, I think that there are other things out on the market, such as cigarettes that have warning lables on the package. Maybe if they did this on drinks above certain levels of caffeine in it. Also, if they were to make this a law it would be extremely hard to regulate.

I think that they should limit caffeine amounts because I think that there are too many adolescents that are almost addicted to it. I will often see young people that are addicted to the caffeine in coffee and they will almost go through withdrawals. So I do agree with the caffeine regulations
