The diagnosis of anxiety actually covers a wide array of types of anxiety disorders. On its own, it is a blanket term used to describe acute stress. It is also used more generally to describe moments when a person is feeling anxious. For example, “Gosh, my anxiety is through the roof tonight!” or similar.

 

Today however I’m going to focus on the different types of anxiety disorders starting with a list that are most commonly diagnosed.

Ugh, panic attacks at night. From my own personal experience of suffering from anxiety and panic attacks, regardless of the time of day, I have found that they’re most common, and increased in severity, in the morning and again at night. In fact, I’ve lost count of how many times I found myself waking up with panic attack.
