This shows an eight minute video that briefly goes over the parts of stop motion animation. Stop motion animation is the art of manpulating objects and creating the allusion of movement. Stop motion animation is most notably used in Tim Burton's A Nightmare Before Christmas.

This is a biography of Max Fleischer, one half of the duo best known for creating Betty Boop and Popeye the Sailorman. He and his brothers created and patented the rotoscope a device that allowed tracing over live action to create cartoons. In 1921, Max and Dave found Fleischer Studios and created their own shorts and cartoons.

I really like this web article because it gives an insightful look on the uses of computer animation. A lot of movies are enchanced with CGI effects. Technology has come and long way and the effects have greatly improved. However, the article also points out the pros of hand drawn animation.

This website is helpful because it gives visual of the techniques that animator use when creating movies. There are also videos that show in depth processes of how Disney's Sleeping Beauty was restored. It also describes that animation takes months and is an extremely long process. However, animators can create amazing things and pair it with voice overs to make great movies.
