Stick Insect Species - Diapherodes gigantea | Animal Care & Exotics Species | Scoop.it
Caroline Hodgson's insight:

This photo is of a Diapherodes gigantea female a species of stick insect from the West Indies.  I currently keep and breed them.

Adult size: Females: 130mm Males: 100mm

Food plants: Eucalyptus, Bramble, Oak, Beech and apparently Hazel. It should be noted eucalyptus must be available at all times, especially for nymphs.

They are relatively easy to keep as pets you just need an available food source.
