This is a result of dry mouth, nutritional deficiencies, drooling, over closure of the mouth, immunosuppressant, and a variety of other reasons.

Angular cheilitis is a word used as an inflammation along the corner of the mouth. This is also called cheilosis, perleche, commissural cheilitis, cheilosis or angular stomatitis. These inflammation is commonly caused by dry mouth, vitamin deficiencies, drooling, immunosuppressants and the tendency of picking your lips.
