Angular cheilitis is a word used as an inflammation on the corner of the mouth. This is also called cheilosis, perleche, commissural cheilitis, cheilosis or angular stomatitis. This is a consequence of dry mouth, vitamin deficiencies, drooling, over closure of the mouth, immunosuppressant, and a variety of other reasons.

If ever you have suffered inflammation in the corners of your mouth, then you might have gotten an angular cheilitis. This lips inflammation is due to dry mouth, nutritional inadequacies, drooling, over closure of the mouth, immunosuppressant and even your habit of picking your own lips.

If you notice a sore at the corner of the mouth, then, that individual has cheilosis. Cheilosis usually is found in each corners of your mouth, nevertheless, there are also instances where only one side of the mouth is affected. Although most people don’t take this seriously, the inconvenience that the inflammation and soreness it brings is oftentimes upsetting. Thus, to prevent further complication, it is recommended that one have this inflammation treated by a professional.
