Pennsylvania has long been home to German immigrants since the early settlers arrived in the 1700s. Pittsburgh still has the social clubs to prove it. They include Liedertafel in Bloomfield and Teutonia Mannerchor in the Deutschtown section of the North Side. While Liedertafel is primarily a bar, Teutonia features dancing and Bavarian cooking as well as beer and music in its downstairs Rathskeller.
