  Samsung galaxy note 2 is powered with a quad core processor and 2GB ram where as Galaxy note is dual core with 1 GB ram. Apart from the core hardware, Galaxy note 2 uses a better battery which gives more talktime and standby duration. The battery is thinner that helps in reducing the weight of the smartphone.
