Times of India Revealed: How climate change ended world's first great civilizations Times of India It's now thought likely that the droughts at around that time were partly responsible for the collapse not only of the Indus Valley civilization, but...
Cynia Sapp's insight:

One prediction is that the world's first  civilizations  have collapsed because of climate change. In this case it is about India. According to the Banaras Hindu University, there had been droughts in the Indus River that lasted for two hundred years. That is two centuries worth of droughts! It is ironic how the once fertile lands of the Indus River began to experience droughts. To my knowledge, climate change is always one possibility of a disappearance of a civilization.
