Ancient Egypt and Nubia have a complex and interweaving history, at various times dominating and influencing each other. (Egypt’s 25th dynasty was a Nubian one.) During all this co-mingling, some Egyptian Deities came to Nubia, Isis among them. Probably established in Nubia around 1950 BCE (when Egypt was dominant and Nubian royalty adopted much Egyptian custom), Isis has long been a Nubian Goddess. Isis was known throughout Nubia as The Great Lady of Nubia.

If Egyptians had better health than we have now, it really makes me question if such practices that include expensive technology and machinery is better? I did not know that ancient egyptians were this knowledgable and were great doctors. The article says that if someone received their training in Egypt, that they were considered highly praised. The article explores the different paths the ancients looked into such as dream interpretations and psychology. I never would have though how intricate their field of medicine was in that time period!

"Dr. Mohamed Ibrahim, Minister of Antiquities, announced that the Egyptian Spanish mission headed by Dr. Myriam Seco Alvarez working in the funerary temple of Thutmosis III on West Bank, Luxor has discovered a black granite head representing a King of the New Kingdom. The discovered head measures 29.6 cm height,

24.3 cm width and 26.9 cm depth. The Minister said that the first look on the details of discovered statue head shows that it is likely belongs to a statue of a king followed the reign of Thutmosis III but to determine for sure, it would require more study. Mohamed Abd Al Maqsoud, head of the Egyptian Antiquities department said the head was discovered in the trench at the northern side of the second courtyard of the funerary temple.  He added "the head shows with a wig, round face and 8 cm long ears. Nose and chin are broken but part of the neck is still there."
