People are debating about the death penalty in today's society. But people never considered the punishments that happened in ancient times. For example, there were these laws, called Code of Ur-Nammu, that were a little harsher than today's death penalty. Back then, if someone was to rape another person, then their punishment was death. I believe that today's death penalty is more reasonable than the Code of Ur-Nammu.
