In the article, "Did Mother, Maybe, Not Know Best?" by Heidi Basarab, found in the fashion & style section, Basarab tells her story about how her and her boyfriend of 13 years had no intention of getting married, until one day when she randomly asked her boyfriend if he wanted to, and he replies with "sure."  When Basarab told her parents they were excited but this was unusual because when she was little her mother told her she didn't need a man to depend on, but Basarab realized she didn't want a man, she wanted THE man.

 The main point that the author, Stuart Murphy, found in the newspaper section was explaining  is single motherhood is not what causes poverty,  poverty is what causes single motherhood.  These young women who are having children at a young age, almost always grew up in a poverty stricken home and people who grew up in a poverty stricken home were usually abused; having children is a way of having someone give love to them.

Couples that share the equal amount of work around the house is an ideal marriage for most, but this can lead to many factors in less sexual tension between the couple, wether its paying bills to taking care of the crying child, the marriage can loose its spark by always agreeing on half and half.
