Indian ski resort gets the go ahead | - International - | Scoop.it

After a lengthy legal battle a court in Himachal Pradesh has ruled the Himalayan Ski Village can go ahead. It is the brainchild of the great-grandson of the car manufacturer, Henry Ford. An appeal against the latest ruling is being considered. The $2.7billion project, championed by Alfred Ford, would see 14km of ski slopes created by ski resort designers from North America. There will be 700 hotel rooms, a convention centre, spas, health facilities and a performing arts centre in the Kullu Valley in the state of Himachal Pradesh.
