I never knew that there were "professional tasters" and that there are people out there that get paid to taste food. But a lot comes along with tasting food, such as knowing the taste off all the ingredients and what needs to be added like sugar or salt. Culinary school is a good idea before trying to become a professional taster because you will build up your culinary vocabulary which will help you to communicate how the food tastes.
