In an age when it seems everything we enjoy will either kill you outright or destroy the planet, scientists have finally discovered a pearl amidst all the do’s and don’ts. According to Dr. Oz, having 200 orgasms a year will reduce your physiologic age by six years. In other words, orgasms are not one of life’s pleasures; they actually help you live longer. see this story here - http://ihtv.me/OSrt0v join us free here - http://ihtv.me/KWxbcm (Image courtesy of Foter)

As the first man to walk on the moon, it must have been something for Neil Armstrong to see the space program he was so deeply a part of successfully reach the surface of Mars. A new study has looked into the link between artificial butter flavoring, specifically diacetyl (DA), and Alzheimer’s disease. If you’re one of those “extra pump” popcorn people at the movies, you may want to reconsider. And if not, you may want to look at what else could contain this damaging ingredient. Where to Find Butter Flavor and What’s the Harm. . . see this story here - http://ihtv.me/ReUMwB join us free here - http://ihtv.me/KWxbcm (Image courtesy of Foter)
In 2011, the FDA started to roll out menu-labeling rules for fast food restaurants. Since then, many changes have been made . . . but perhaps not in the way we order. Are the new laws a step in the right direction or a futile effort that can’t be counted on? The Law, the Hope, the Numbers New York and California are two states that have already adopted the practice of labeling the calories on chain restaurants’ menus. see this story here - http://ihtv.me/PtGuVN join us free here - http://ihtv.me/KWxbcm (Image courtesy of Foter)
A new drug and the recently approved at-home HIV test could be a large part of the future of HIV resistance . . . although not everyone is happy. In the first major move, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved OraQuick, an in-home HIV test. So it looks like progress marches on, and the fight against HIV picks up a few new allies. Maybe soon it will be a fair fight. see this story here - http://ihtv.me/OmZzwn join us free here - http://ihtv.me/KWxbcm (Image courtesy of Foter)
There’s a new diet pill on the block, and this one is backed by the FDA. But that stamp of approval doesn’t necessarily mean it is safe, so why burn through your wallet and your health insurance when you can burn fat the natural way? Side effects not included. New Approval for Weight Loss Drug: The U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved another weight loss drug, claiming Qsymia (a combination of phentermine and topiramate extended-release) can be helpful and mostly harmless as an addition to a reduced-calorie diet and exercise. see this story here - http://ihtv.me/QhSacN join us free here - http://ihtv.me/KWxbcm (Image courtesy of Wikimedia)
When you think of what the hiring process is like for the elderly caregivers with which you are entrusting the lives of your loved ones, you may conjure up images of intense training, high marks in college, rigorous entrance exams, scrutinizing interviews and a thorough background check with the standard (and expected) drug test. A new study brings the elderly caregiver role into a more disturbing light, however. see this story here - http://ihtv.me/NlzzfG join us free here - http://ihtv.me/KWxbcm
A Diet Full of Controversy No other diet has sparked as much controversy and experienced as much popularity and obscurity as the HCG diet. Once promoted as an effective weight loss tool throughout the 1950s, by the 1970s the HCG diet had largely faded into the shadows . . . only to reemerge in recent times much stronger than ever. It might be easy to feel the need to try this mysterious diet. Dramatic “before and after” videos and pictures, and promises of melting the pounds away can be enticing enough for anyone to give it a shot. Whether or not it’s just a “fad” diet that will pass with time, it wouldn’t hurt to try, right? Well, let’s dig a little deeper first. see this story here - http://ihtv.me/O1PxyR join us free here - http://ihtv.me/KWxbcm

We all lie at one time or another. Whether you are embellishing stories about your crazy college adventures, or telling your significant other how wonderful her (or his) meatloaf is, little white lies are something we are so good at many times we aren’t even fully aware that we are doing it. So, is there really any harm to these tiny fibs? see this story here - http://ihtv.me/Q1TWyY join us free here - http://ihtv.me/KWxbcm (Image courtesy of Foter)
With baby boomers getting into their 60s, 70s, and 80s, the topic has become quite popular. Movies like Hope Springs and It’s Complicated are focusing on the romantic endeavors of the aged, with a good deal of success. And art seems to be imitating life, as it’s been found that 73 percent of those aged 57-64 were still sexually active. see this story here - http://ihtv.me/NwLGvW join us free here - http://ihtv.me/KWxbcm (Image courtesy of Foter)
Fairs can be a great way to have fun and serve as a distraction from your daily routine. Even big cities have their own version of home-town “country” fairs, so you don’t have to travel far to get your share of carnival rides, games and deep-fried candy bars (the Minnesota State Fair is a personal favorite!). However, it’s important to remember that these busy gatherings are also a great way to get sick if you don’t practice good hygiene. see this story here - http://ihtv.me/NlnpZV join us free here - http://ihtv.me/KWxbcm (Image courtesy of sxc)
American author Dan Simmons once said, “It occurs to me that our survival may depend upon our talking to one another.” Communication is one of the most essential tools in connecting human beings. It’s a gift that is uniquely human . . . so why not use it to our advantage? Communicating problems is perhaps the most effective way in discovering healthy solutions. A network of understanding can offer a more positive outlook on a current situation. Most people feel better and their problems don’t seem quite as large once they’ve talked it out. see this story here - http://ihtv.me/OUZMHf join us free here - http://ihtv.me/KWxbcm (Image courtesy of sxc)
R-Patz, K-Stew, Stewpatz, Pattinwart. Whatever you planned on nick-naming Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson’s relationship, it looks like the only word being thrown around now is “over.” But what is it about cheating that makes it so prevalent, and what’s the science behind it? We’ll shed some twilight on the issue. The Numbers of Cheating The idea of cheating has always consumed and captivated our society. Every time a new celebrity is caught, weeks of pop culture talk and water cooler gossip center on who was at fault and how it went down. But it turns out, if we looked at ourselves a bit more, we’d see that the problem is overwhelmingly common . . . even outside of tinsel town. see this story here - http://ihtv.me/Q3bZ7f join us free here - http://ihtv.me/KWxbcm (Image courtesy of sxc)
Sometimes, no matter how well you take care of your teeth, you simply can’t avoid developing a cavity. And despite the advances in dental care, with today’s fast-food, sugary-snack, eat-on-the-fly lifestyles we all live, it’s no surprise that kids are still very much susceptible to needing a filling or two. Unfortunately for them, that dental solution might also be affecting kids’ emotional and mental well-being. see this story here - http://ihtv.me/PM3oWq join us free here - http://ihtv.me/KWxbcm (Image courtesy of Foter)
With all the recent “exposure” (thanks to the new Spiderman movie) people are becoming more aware of spiders and how we benefit from them in terms of environmental health. But it seems as though spiders can also have a great impact on human health, especially for patients suffering from muscular dystrophy. see this story here - http://ihtv.me/OLYZnN join us free here - http://ihtv.me/KWxbcm
To many, sweating might be a total (or at least partial) mystery. You might have heard that sweating is your body’s way of cooling off . . . but then why does it feel like the more you sweat, the hotter you get? In general, sweat is a sticky subject because there are so many misconceptions, myths, and old wives’ tales that surround it. For instance, you may hear (and probably believe) many of these ideas: sweat is how we eject toxins from your body, how you can lose weight, and the fatter you are, the easier you’ll sweat. Yumiko Takahashi, 29-years-old and living in Japan, will certainly never win mother of the year. Her 19-month-old son, Neo, had been running a fever, so she laid him down in his crib sometime around June 24 of last year. It wasn’t until June 26 that the young boy was discovered dead. With Takahashi on the computer almost 24/7, there was no one else to take care of him for those almost two full days. see this story here - http://ihtv.me/N2Lb65 join us free here - http://ihtv.me/KWxbcm
It turns out there’s a real estate crisis hitting the United States. No, not the housing bubble or the balloon mortgage . . . but the redistribution of homes that were once used as meth labs. Yes, you read that right: meth labs. Picture this: you finally find a house that’s affordable, in a neighborhood that meets your hopes and expectations. The loan goes through, the paperwork gets signed, and you and your family move into a little slice of the American dream. Soon, however, you realize that there are odors that shouldn’t be present, health problems that never affected you before, and a frequent level of discomfort within your cozy abode. see this story here - http://ihtv.me/MTBdny join us free here - http://ihtv.me/KWxbcm
There’s a new study out there urging all films that include smoking cigarettes to be rated R, due to the effects it can have on children watching. But to automatically remove all notions of smoking for that young “tween” age might be shortsighted; and there’s a polarizing debate inside the film community. There’s a pretty strong debate going on between my alter egos as well, as I go Point/Counterpoint on this drag deliberation.
