Destination Wellness For Pets

Do you have a reactive approach to your pet s well-being? Is wellness for pets a destination you would like to arrive at? What if you could you take charge of your pet s wellness easily and affordably? We do this by offering complementary or traditional therapies that work at the root of the problem. It’s called complementary by major hospitals because various forms of traditional and energetic modalities are used in conjunction with modern medicine. Traditional modalities seek to resolve the issue at the root of the cause, not just make the symptoms disappear. As most health concerns do not result overnight, an effective wellness plan should include consistent assistance from therapists or resources particular to your situation, including modern medical care on a schedule that is right for you and your pet. Easily is: Distance reiki. As a reiki practitioner, we are able to tap into the earth’s energetic field and send universal life force energy to your pets. (Or you!) Universal

BioMat and the Boys

Or as my hubby calls it: The $1700 heating pad. And yes, I paid $1700 for it and think its worth every penny. Not only am I in love with it, but Cecil and Speedy G think its the bees knees. The technology that it uses includes far red infrared, negative ions, and channels and channels and channels of amethyst. It has 7 different heat settings. It is a US FDA 510k registered Class II Medical Device for pain and stress management. The reasons I love the Biomat. It blocks EMF s from the TV, computer, and cell phones that are in your bedroom. Why Wellness Care?

What is wellness care? A wellness plan shifts the focus from dealing with chronic medical problems after they happen to preventing them in the first place. This was the way of many ancient civilizations. Doctors were paid and rewarded based on the health of their community, including the animals. A wellness plan can encompass you and your pets. Why is wellness care important? According to the Center For Disease Control (CDC): Chronic diseases, such as heart disease, cancer, and diabetes, are responsible for 7 of every 10 deaths among Americans each year and account for 75% of the nation’s health spending. Instituting a wellness plan may reduce or even eliminate many chronic conditions. Its never too late to begin such a program. Even if you already have chronic medical conditions, you can slow the progress or possibly reverse some of the damage.

Adopting Senior Rescue Dogs

Meet Mollie and Katie. Adopting senior rescue dogs has it own set of challenges. Katie is a 14 year old chow/sheltie mix and Mollie is a 12 year old golden retriever. Last week, they were removed from their apartment by animal control after spending several days alone without food or water. I first met them two days ago when I gave them a bath and tidy. I had already decided to adopt them after my vet put out a plea for them. Animal Control brings confiscated dogs to VCA Northside Animal Hospital in Danbury, CT. I love each and every one who works there. They have hearts of gold.  Both Mollie and Katie had all of their needs attended to both physically and emotionally. All 5 of my dogs have come from VCA, as they were all discarded for one reason or the other. Katie would not even make eye contact with me on that first meet. Two days after that and they are in their new (my) home. Their circumstances has tremendously improved. However, within 4 days they have been in 3 different loca

My Introduction To Crystals

My introduction to crystals began more than a decade ago. I was going through a bad patch. I was not happy even though my mobile grooming business was doing well. My unhappiness was spilling over into my personal life. To top it off, Marcus, my Miniature pinscher (also known as The Love Bug) was chronically ill. He was not responding to modern medicine. Every month he was getting worse, we could not get him regulated. I thought I was going to lose him. Marcus appreciated his crystals! One day I was running some errands and somehow ended up in the parking lot of a New Age store. To this day, I do not even remember how I got there. I don t remember driving into the lot, much less parking the car. I walked in the store and went right over to the bins of pretty rocks. I picked out a couple, paid for them, and put them in my pocket. A couple of weeks later, I noticed a change in my attitude and out of curiosity I Googled the stones. To my surprise, the changes corresponded to the metaphysi

Animal Communicators- Real Deal Or Con Artists

There was a time when nothing about me was woo woo. I thought that animal communicators were a sham. I felt they preyed upon the raw feelings of people who recently lost a pet. That is, until I met Karen Shallet. My “day job” is Pawsitively Pretty Mobile Grooming Salon in Danbury, Conn. As a mobile service, I have a hefty minimum charge. It can be very expensive to have me come to your house just to cut your pet’s nails. However, I do waive the minimum charge if you met certain criteria. Karen called me and wanted just a nail trim for her dog Abbey. She did not meet my criteria, but piqued my interest when she mentioned different channels that were not my clients recommended me. Karen said she was an animal communicator. I thought “What the hell,” and waived my minimum and set an appointment. From the minute I met Karen and Abbey, I felt a connection. She was much too nice and genuine to be a con artist. The bond between Karen and Abbey was almost visible. She opened my mind

Show Winter Some Love

For many of us, this winter has been tough. Begging, pleading, and threatening Mother Nature has not resulted in her letting up. So maybe, just maybe, we show Mom some love. If you are so inclined, I made a video on putting together a crystal love grid. You can intend it to show winter some love, or maybe your snow plow guy instead. Your choice.

Reiki I and II

“But you look so normal.” I hear this from time to time when I discuss Reiki and other forms of energy healing. I never take offense, because 15 years ago, I might have reacted the same way to someone who practices energy work. Then Marcus entered my life. Marcus was my Miniature Pinscher. At the age of five he was diagnosed with several chronic medical conditions. My veterinarian was unable to regulate him and he was deteriorating before my eyes. It was after a stop in a New Age store that piqued my curiosity and set me on my path towards energy work, including Reiki.

Holiday Stress and Your Pet

Holiday Stress and Your Pet It’s already December and the holiday season is in full swing. With it come higher stress levels for us, as well as for our pets. Causes Of Stress In Pets -Over stressed family members. When we are stressed our bodies release adrenaline and cortisol hormones. A pet’s sense of smell is greater than ours and they are able to perceive these hormones on us. As they look to us as their pack leader, if we are worried, there must be something to worry about. -Change in diet. The holiday season can disrupt their normal diet and feeding schedule. Holiday food is richer, higher in fat, and more available. -Change in routine. You spend more time away from home shopping and visiting. -Extra visitors in your home. Your pet’s senses are in overload. There may be children running around trying to touch them, as well as adults using different or too much perfumes or colognes. Your house may be louder than normal with many tasty temptations everywhere. Visitors may al
