a company named cormat in peris has made a break through. there are useing cow tissue to make and artifical heart. the took the tissue frome the cows pericardial sac that surrounds the heart. This is the first artifical heart made from cow. they are soon to test the heart on patiants with heart problems. i think this is a really neat thing and i hope it works out.

as of october 4, 2013 the the trichomoniasis regulation is in effect. Trichomoniasis is a highly contagious venereal disease in cattle. its carried by the bull and transmitted to the heffer during breeding(sex). it causes the heffer to loose the baby and can infect other cows fast“The cattle industry in Kansas is the largest sector of the largest industry in the state. That is why it is imperative for us to work with Kansas farmers and ranchers, livestock markets, veterinarians and all involved in the cattle sector to eradicate infectious and contagious livestock diseases, including Trichomoniasis,” said Kansas Animal Health Commissioner Dr. Bill Brown. and the disease is in there state and they passed the regulation.

there taking the dna out of zebrafish and changeing it. there changing the genome. they used the bacterial enzyme that guids rna to dna as a tool to change genomes of cells in a orginism. Its like they take the dna that gives the fish black stripes and alter it to blue and then inject it in another fish and the fish becomes white and blue.
