Virginia Beach is full of various restaurants that will not just fill your belly but make you happy as they do. The cuisine varies greatly but no matter where you go you are in for a treat. Today we have found three of the best restaurants in Virginia Beach. Each one was chosen because the food is top notch. Croc’s 19th Street Bistro This small bistro has a big selection despite the size of the venue. When you sit down and read the menu you will find a variety of seasonal cuisine from the local coast. The restaurant has a big focus on sustainability and proper fishing practices. Most of the food produce and seafood comes from the local farmer’s market and is prepared to order. Expect to see an influence from the Lebanese heritage of the owner. The venue itself is vibrant on the inside and full of energy. Every Sunday there is a Drag Yourself to Bruch drag show that features great food and an even better show. The restaurant is equipped with a bar to make their patrons extra satisfied but the Bloody Mary’s are the best. Chick’s Oyster Bar In case you didn’t gather from the name, this restaurant is one of the best oyster bars in town. In a city with the word beach in the name that is quite the claim but the food lives up to it. Besides oysters, the Chick’s Oyster Bar features a menu full of seafood inspired treats, including awesome soft tacos. A full bar allows you to get cocktails to relax while you enjoy the atmosphere at this rambling little shack that is located right on the Lynn haven River. You will be able to have great views of the local fishing and boats passing by. The walls are decorated with nautical memorabilia to help complete the shack nature of the establishment. Doc Taylor’s Restaurant Doc Taylor’s Restaurant is a mix of a diner and local seafood restaurant. The location itself used to be a doctor’s office and has since been changed up to be a charming little cottage restaurant. The menu is huge but the place is famous for the Ray Breakfast Sandwich that was named after Chef Ray Labuen. It is full of all of the greasy breakfast foods you would expect from such a quaint establishment. Doc Taylor’s is open for both breakfast and lunch but it gets packed quickly. The earlier you show up, the more likely you are to get a seat. The busiest times are the weekends during the summer but all summer expect to find this place packed. A packed Virginia Beach Restaurant makes for great people watching though.
